Peri-Oral Fillers in Palestine, TX
Peri-oral filler softens marionette lines running from the mouth's corners toward the chin, downturned corners, and fine vertical lines above the lip border. It works by placing hyaluronic acid filler in the tissue surrounding the mouth — not the lips themselves — which is a different target than Lip Fillers. It's suited specifically to that surrounding tissue, so if added lip volume is your goal, filler in the lip itself is the more direct treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "peri-oral" actually mean, and what areas does this cover?
Peri-oral simply means "around the mouth." This treatment addresses the area surrounding the lips rather than the lips themselves — things like marionette lines running from the corners of the mouth down toward the chin, and the corners of the mouth turning downward. It's a more specific, technical term than most people use day to day, so your provider will point to the exact areas being discussed at your consultation.
How is this different from lip filler?
Lip filler is injected into the lips to add volume and shape. Peri-oral filler is placed in the tissue surrounding the lips to soften lines and folds and support corners of the mouth that have started to turn down. The two are often discussed together since they're in the same general area, but they solve different concerns and can be done separately or combined depending on your goals.
Does this help with the lines that show up when I purse my lips, or smoker's lines?
Yes — those vertical lines around the mouth, sometimes called smoker's lines or lipstick lines, are one of the concerns peri-oral filler can help soften. How much improvement to expect depends on how deep the lines are and how much they're driven by volume loss versus repeated muscle movement, which is something your provider evaluates in person.
How many syringes do most people need?
It genuinely varies by area and how much correction you're looking for, so we don't quote a standard number in advance. Your provider will look at your specific concerns during your consultation and build a plan — and a cost estimate — around that, rather than starting from a one-size-fits-all amount.
What is the most serious risk of filler?
FDA calls unintentional injection into a blood vessel the most concerning filler risk. It can block blood flow, and reported complications include tissue death, vision problems including blindness, and stroke, which can be permanent. Tell us right away about severe pain, skin turning pale, vision changes, or stroke symptoms.
